YES Annual Report for 2022 - 2023

Listening to children's views on issues that concern them is a necessary but demanding process. For this reason, the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Initiative includes a specific programmatic component based on international practices and standards to engage young people. This is the Youth Engagement Scheme (YES) for Mental Health, coordinated by George Moschos, former Deputy Ombudsman for Children's Rights (Children's Ombudsman).

In this special edition, we present today to the Greek public an account of YES' activities during the school year 2022 - 2023. This booklet has a dual-purpose: to recognize the participation and activities of those adolescents and adults who took part in the programme this year and to offer a blueprint of youth engagement for those who want to learn more, either to connect with CAMHI in the future or to get ideas for activities they would like to replicate in other youth settings in the future.

By chronicling the actions we have organized, and including snapshots of our meetings and the projects that the children themselves have created, we hope that the message about the importance of teamwork and children's participation will reach and touch all of you. By listening to young people, we can jointly drive change for children and adolescents and take better care of their mental health
