Training Seminar for the Regeneration & Progress "Sports Paths" Initiative

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative in collaboration with the Child Mind Institute, participated on Sunday, October 2nd 2022, in the onboarding training seminar for physical education teachers, organized by the Regeneration and Progress “Sports Path” program. The “Sports Path” program, under the exclusive financial support of Stavros Niarchos Foundation, will offer the opportunity to recently trained physical education teachers, to travel in remote islands of the Aegean sea and offer their services again for the period 2022-2023. In the context of the seminar, we offered an extended lecture on the appropriate identification of children and adolescents with common mental health concerns and supportive measures for themselves and their families. The educational session by the CAMHI in collaboration with the CMI, was received with warmth and enthusiasm, based on the feedback we received following its completion. Mental health topics were raised among the teachers, as being of utmost training interest and, in the context of which, several common challenges need to be faced daily in their work with students.
